Lupus is a complex autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues—causing inflammation that may affect the skin, joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, and brain.

• Mostly women (15–55)
• Anyone, any age, any ethnicity
• More common in Black, Asian, and minority groups
How Lupus Impacts Lives
• Joint pain & swelling and extreme fatigue
• Rashes (“butterfly” rash)
• Hair loss, mouth ulcers and can affect organs
